Are you, or someone you know going through a recent divorce? Or hurting deeply from a relationship that is in separation? Are you having trouble finding God’s comfort in your turmoil? Circumstances are different, but the pain and confusion is the same – that’s what DivorceCare is for. DivorceCare is a nationally accredited, Bible-based journey through the phases of separation and divorce. Through weekly meetings led by trained facilitators who have been where you are, you will learn how to acknowledge your feelings, deal with finances and children, deal with your anger or depression, and, most importantly, let God walk with you through it all. We meet once-a-week for 13 sessions in a safe, private group session. You will listen, learn, and pray together and come out stronger in your faith and your belief in yourself. This ministry is jointly sponsored by Fox Point Lutheran Church and Memorial Lutheran Church. The Fall session will begin on Thursday, September 14th at Memorial Lutheran Church. The Spring session will take place at Fox Point Lutheran Church beginning in January. There is a minimal cost of $20 for the workbook and materials; however, we don’t believe that the cost of a workbook should stop someone from the healing and caring we can give. Please let us know if you need help in that area. If you have any questions or need more information, feel free to contact either of the parish nurses: Joni Ledzian at joni@foxpointchurch.org or Eileen Weller at nursememoriallc@sbcglobal.net or see the DivorceCare website. The facilitators are Vicki Lewis and Linda Brost of Fox Point Lutheran Church, Rip McManus and Cheryl Miller of Memorial Lutheran Church, and Mary K Bruno.
